Step into the mirror.

Looking with your eyes closed-

You don’t care to see there’s a problem.

Head phones so loud your device gives you warning. 

You’re drowning out the thoughts you hate to have.

Circumventing people, friends- 

It may very well kill you to have that awkward conversation or be asked to return to them the things that you’ve “borrowed.”

Drink, way too much so not to be disturbed by the nightmares revealing your most torturous fear as you sleep. 

Avoidance is a cheap bandage covering… we’ll call them ‘scars.’

It’s dirty, sweaty- eventually pilling off.

Then what?
